There are many holiday home parks across the Midlands and the Cotswolds. Most will tell you about their facilities, their location, their holiday homes. What we’d rather do is tell you what kind of place Rivermead actually is — and let you decide if it sounds like somewhere you’d want to belong.
Rivermead is not a touring park, a glamping site, or a short-stay holiday resort. Every pitch belongs to an owner. That means no strangers arriving on a Friday evening, no unfamiliar faces at the weekend — just the same familiar community, season after season.
The atmosphere this creates is genuinely different. Quieter. More settled. Owners look after their pitches with care and their holiday homes with pride. The park feels like a private retreat — because it is.
The River Avon runs along the park boundary, and many pitches enjoy direct or partial water views. In spring the river is alive with boats and birdlife. In summer the water catches the light in a way that makes it hard to leave. By autumn, mist sits over the water on cool mornings and the whole park takes on a quieter, more contemplative quality. This isn’t a park that happens to be near a river. The river is the reason the park is here.
Rivermead is located in one of the country’s most picturesque regions. In Worcestershire, our park is on the edge of the Cotswolds – an area that attracts thousands of visitors each year, and it’s easy to see why. Beautiful market towns, characterful properties and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants… You’re also just a couple of miles from Pershore, another lovely, small town. Pershore is ideal for stocking up on those daily essentials if you just want to quickly nip to the shops. If, however, you’d like to venture further afield then you can always head to Worcester, which is a beautiful cathedral city which is packed full of things to see and do.
Rivermead holds five-star status under the Rose of England accreditation scheme — the regional quality standard for holiday parks in the English counties. This isn’t self-awarded. It reflects the standard of the grounds, the facilities, the management, and the overall experience of owning here. When you choose Rivermead, you’re choosing a park that has been independently assessed and recognised as among the best in the region.
Owning a holiday home at Rivermead is designed to be easy. Your holiday home is sited and maintained on the park. The grounds are looked after by our team. Gas, electricity, and water are metered and billed twice yearly — there are no unexpected utility calls to manage. You arrive. You relax. You leave when you’re ready. No maintenance rota, no grass to cut, no pipes to worry about over the winter closure.
Rivermead is a peaceful retreat rather than an entertainment complex, and the facilities reflect that. What’s here is here because it’s useful:
The park’s quiet character is one of its most valued features. It is a place for people who know what they want from a weekend and don’t need to be entertained to find it.
